About Genesis Kajukenbo
Our History
Founded in 2023, Genesis Kajukenbo is a Christian martial arts school committed to developing disciplined, capable, and faith-centered warriors. We exist to boldly enter the martial arts community and present the truth and strength of what our God in Heaven has entrusted to us.
Our school is built on the core values of discipline, focus, and respect, while intentionally developing confidence, self-control, and personal esteem. Through structured, reality-based, and hard-style training, students are equipped with the physical, mental, and spiritual tools necessary to defend themselves and protect others. We represent not only ourselves, but the Kajukenbo system as a whole, carrying it with strength, honor, and integrity. In all that we do, we seek to glorify, honor, and praise our Lord.
We believe martial arts is a mission field. Through mentorship, leadership development, and dedicated instruction, Genesis Kajukenbo is committed to raising up a new generation of disciplined warriors who are prepared to serve, lead, and stand firm in both faith and ability.
Lineage
Our lineage traces directly to the founder of Kajukenbo, Sijo Adriano Emperado, through Great Grandmaster Charles H. Gaylord, Senior Grandmaster Florentino Paz, and Professor Joe Peel, and is carried forward by our school’s instructor, Sifu James Scott. We honor the responsibility of preserving this system while continuing to apply it in practical, real-world training.
Training & Curriculum
Genesis Kajukenbo Academy provides structured instruction for both beginners and advanced practitioners. Our system is rooted in traditional martial arts principles, with techniques originating from Kung Fu systems practiced for more than 4,000 years.
Training includes Chi Sao (sticky hands), Qin-Na (joint locking and grappling), Fukien ground boxing, wrestling applications, and traditional weapons training. Our curriculum emphasizes real-world practicality, hard-style conditioning, and personal accountability, following the path of the warriors of old.
